Public bug reported: The pychromecast version 4.1.0 that is shipped with Ubuntu 20.04 does not work as expected. I fail to stream a URL to Google Nest Hub via mkchromecast.
This seems to be caused by https://github.com/home-assistant-libs/pychromecast/pull/337 which is fixed in version 4.1.1: - https://github.com/home-assistant-libs/pychromecast/releases - https://github.com/home-assistant-libs/pychromecast/compare/4.1.0...4.1.1 For now, I helped myself by installing a newer version locally: $ pip3 install "pychromecast>=4.1.1" See also: - https://github.com/muammar/mkchromecast/issues/297 - https://github.com/muammar/mkchromecast/issues/302 ** Affects: pychromecast (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1875688 Title: pychromecast in Ubuntu 20.04 is buggy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pychromecast/+bug/1875688/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
