Public bug reported:

Hi,

I recently started using Dvarok full time, and some (all GTK) software
in Ubuntu fails to identify the changed layout when shortcuts (Ctrl + C,
Ctrl + X, Ctrl + V etc) are pressed. For example, Ctrl + X makes text
bold in Geary, as X is positioned where B would be in a Qwerty. In all
GTK software Ctrl + V offers me to input emojis, but doesn't paste
anything.

Other software where I notice the same behaviour is Nautilus, the Gnome
terminal, Ubuntu Software, Gnome Maps, Gnome Weather, Gnome Calendar,
and the default Calculator. All non-gtk software behaves normally (such
as Rstudio, LibreOffice, Atom, and FireFox).

I'm currently running a Flatpak version of Geary installed in 18.04,
while the rest are from default repositories. The behaviour is the same.

Ctrl + Shift + C enters "^C" in the terminal, while Ctrl + Shift + J
copies.

I have rebooted the computer many times since switching to Dvarok.

Sorry for not knowing the appropriate place to lodge this bug, or if
it's a duplicate.

Thanks for your work!
