Thank you for your bug report, could you try to
- start that command
$ journalctl -f
- start gnucash from a command line and copy any error displayed as well
as the output from the previous journal command
- right click on the blank icon in the launcher and add to favorite
- gsettings get org.gnome.shell favorite-apps
and see the name of the .desktop added, it should be gnucash.desktop
also what language do you use?
