As a work around, you can detach additional devices, DD /dev/zero on to the 
target ones.
Reboot.
Start the installation.

I expect for that to work then, when no prior lvm metadata exists or is
visible.

ps. just removing partitions tables is not enough, because installer
will recreate partition at the same offsets and locations, and old LVM
will "resurface" back up, upon udev triggered scan.
