*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 43154 *** Hey Andy, the problem as I take it is that the VIA K8M800 is a relatively new chipset, and the current via-driver has not been updated to properly support it. I'm not 100% sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if this were due to the via-driver being proprietary and binary-only.
I agree with you, bug #43154 does look very related. So does bug #62093. Since it appears so many users are experiencing this exact same problem, I'm going to mark this bug as a duplicate of bug #43154 to make life simpler for the bug squashers;) If you like, you can stay subscribed to that bug for any signs of progress. Hopefully a patch will be issued soon.
