I am now using Gutsy and the bug seems to have changed a bit. The original STEPS TO REPRODUCE above works as expected, but now I frequently see this problem instead: When I TAB twice in the middle of a long line, that results in a wrongly displayed line after the completions - the line display is out-of-sync with where the prompt really ends. To be precise:
1. start Kubuntu 2. open a Konsole window 3. enter the command: cd /usr 4. enter the command: ls xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 5. type CTRL+P and move the caret to the first 'x' then TAB twice This results in a list of files in /usr and then the command line, where the caret is displayed over the 22:nd 'x'. 6. type CTRL+A then CTRL+K This should leave only the prompt on the line, but I still see "ls xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" after the prompt. I think it's the same underlying bug that just changed symptoms a bit, but feel free to close this report and open a new report on the new symptoms if you think it's a different bug. -- command line display error after history search (CTRL+R) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/118636 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
