I'm not really clear why Debian/Ubuntu packages run the full integration test suite anyway; probably running `fish -c 'echo foo'` is fine.
We (the upstream developers) run it on our PPA for all Ubuntu versions for development builds, so if there's a bug that's likely to be caught by the builders we will probably see it before release.
