Public bug reported:
We need to remove llvm-toolchain-7 from groovy as it blocking pyyaml
from migrating and will be uninstallable once it migrates. The llvm-
toolchain-7 package depends on python-yaml which has been dropped from
pyyaml completely. Debian also removed llvm-toolchain-7 from testing -
possibly for related reasons.
The list of rdeps:
$ reverse-depends src:llvm-toolchain-7
Reverse-Depends
* flang-7 [amd64 arm64 ppc64el]
* flang-7 [amd64 arm64 ppc64el]
* iwyu (for clang-7)
* libflang0d-7 [amd64 arm64 ppc64el]
* libmkl-dev [amd64] (for libomp-7-dev)
* libmkl-rt [amd64] (for libomp-7-dev)
* nvidia-cuda-toolkit [amd64 ppc64el]
$ reverse-depends -b src:llvm-toolchain-7
Reverse-Testsuite-Triggers
* intel-mkl (for libomp-7-dev)
Reverse-Build-Depends
* flang (for llvm-7)
* flang (for libomp-7-dev)
* flang (for llvm-7-tools)
* flang (for llvm-7-dev)
I have checked and iwyu, nvidia-cuda-toolkit and intel-mkl related
packages have alternative dependencies, so should still be good after
its removal. The flang source is a bit more problematic, but it can also
be removed - Debian did the same from testing. Looking at its rdeps it
seems to be safe.
