Hi, we need you to detail some more.
1. Do you mean Wi-Fi adapter still appears, but you fail to connect to
existing WiFi networks that used to connect to? You mentioned the WLAN
is still visible and you're able to enter WLAN SSID/passphrase.
2. Please attach system journal again against the failing kernel
4.15.0-96+ and 5.3.0-28+. We need to know what happen when you upgraded
to new kernels. You may have no network access then, so you can run
following commands to save logs and attach them later when rebooted back
to 4.15.0-96:
$ sudo journalctl -b 0 | tee journal.$(uname -r)
This will create one journal.* file at your present working
directory. So reboot to 4.15.0-96+ kernel, run the command once, and
then reboot to 5.3.0-28+ again, and run that command again as well.
