Public bug reported:

By default, the CursorThemeName entry in /etc/xdg/xdg-
xubuntu/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xsettings.xml is set to
"Human". It's from this setting that the snaps get the cursor theme to
use. The problem is that the "Human" cursor theme isn't installed by
default, so snaps use a strange theme, with a black normal cursor and a
left pointing white hand on links.

A clean Xubuntu install fall back to "DMZ (White)". When "DMZ (White)"
is set as the cursor theme instead of "default" (that fall back to "DMZ
(White)") and gtk-common-themes snap is installed, snaps use the mouse
theme.
