Installation of Lubuntu 20.04 LTS does not create swap partition or file with
the default
installation scheme.
Distribution details:
$ cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=20.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=focal
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 20.04 LTS"
By default no swap is present:
$ free
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 3826608 1190812 1342320 220288 1293476 2178564
Swap: 0 0 0
$ swapon -s
$ (shows nothing)
Had to add it manually to keep desktop running programs from freezing on
high loads.
