My friends ASus AS9301WSMi laptop worked flawlessly with Feisty, but
once he did an online upgrade to Gutsy, the new kernel would not boot.
Unfortunately he rashly reinstalled Feisty, so the evidence has
disappeared.
However, he then tried the Gutsy LiveCD, which also, will not boot.
I've suggested he look at TTY1 to try and deduce where it's got to in
the boot sequence, and shall post such information as it becomes
available.
