Same Issue here. Trying to get the touchpad runing on an Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15ARE05 Same behaviour like "elants_i2c i2c-ELAN0001:00: unknown packet" in Dmesg Touchpad is active but messages are not interpreted correct.
