The only reason Len mentioned GNOME is because that's where MATE
started: GNOME 2.0, which was then forked into what you now know as
MATE.

Here's the reason it's not a bug with ubuntustudio-menu: it works
perfectly under both Xfce and KDE Plasma.  If it was working under MATE
in 19.10 and it is no longer working in MATE in 20.04, then, because it
*does* work in both Xfce and KDE Plasma, then that tells me it's a MATE
problem.
