I can confirm this, installing ubuntu server iso image with: - use qemu to create a file (as disk image) of 10GB % qemu-img create -f qcow vdisk.img 10G - install OS from iso-file into above disk-image % qemu-system-x86_64 -hda vdisk.img -cdrom ubuntu-7.10-server-i386.iso -boot d -m 384
versions: (the host) Gutsy Desktop 7.10 updated upto 5-dec-2007 (the client iso image) Gutsy Server 7.10 with checksum 4289001046 size 524060672 bytes (from cksum) qemu 0.9.0-2ubuntu4 If the problem is really in the installer then I guess it can't be fixed with updates. But is it possible to put a fixed iso image on the ubuntu download site (and its mirrors)? -- QEMU won't allow 7.10 Ubuntu server or jeos to be installed. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/163738 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
