Dear Sir; I have removed the version I was using and I installed the latest version 7.10 (64 bit). I have installed both gnome and kde but not xfce, meaning I have both ubuntu and kubuntu but not xubuntu.
I have no idea if the bug still persist or not because I haven't installed xfce. When I wanted to install it, apparently, it means removing a file needed for ubuntu. Since I prefer using ubuntu (Gnome) rather than Xubuntu (Xfce) I forego off installing xubuntu. I wonder if it is possible to install xubuntu without removing any file. I guess, you cannot do it. Oh well, doesn't matter. As long as I have both gnome and kde I am happy. It would've been nice if I could also install xfce but I don't really care. I would like to thank everyone, especially canonical for this excellent free software. I have been using it since mid November and I never had encountered any bugs or any other problem. Even though I am using Windows Vista Ultimate (64 bit) most of the time, I am looking forward to installing and using ubuntu only, as things stand I am not confident or sure with ubuntu. And I have some software such as Adobe CS3 and the like which cannot run under ubuntu (as far as I know, please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.) and I am not sure about the softwares that is currently available with ubuntu.
