Hello Timo,

thanks for the advice.

I tried it and revert from VESA to RADEON driver, but without success
(no change)

# -------------------------------------
# xorg.conf  -> Depth 24 (default one)

Section "Screen"
    Defaultdepth 24
    SubSection "Display"
        Depth 15
        Modes "1280x1024" "1280x960" "1280x800"

"800x600" "768x576" "640x480"
    EndSubSection
    SubSection "Display"
        Depth 16
        Modes "1280x1024" "1280x960" "1280x800"

"800x600" "768x576" "640x480"
    EndSubSection
    SubSection "Display"
        Depth 24
# Modes "1280x1024" "1280x960" "1280x800"
"1152x864" "1280x768" "1024x768" "1280x600" "1024x600"
"800x600" "768x576" "640x480"
        Virtual 1280 1024

-----------------------------------------

It was a long time without any X11 problem !

Anyway, with VESA I can work comfortably : I just want to understand
what happens and to help to signal bugs.

Have a nice day,

Alain

Open Source is not a computer religion. It is just a good idea.
