This one is a bit of an improvement. Boot time to a working desktop was about 3 minutes. But most interesting was that I could change my display resolution almost instantly with a 200% magnification. Attempting to change by adjusting the resolution directly (from 3840x2160 to 2560x1440) caused the usual delay. I will post the SystemD analysis in the next message.
