Did you find a way around this?
If not, can you provide "systemctl -a"?
It looks like lxd was detected on the system but with the source daemon
not running and unable to start which is rather unusual.
The package did the right thing in failing at that stage as moving
forward could have caused dataloss but we'd need to understand how the
system ended up in this weird state.
