@katastic Interestingly I've also noticed video output problems in VLC on my Lenovo Ideapad L340-17API.
In my case video is present in VLC but quality is quite poor, video looks interlaced even though it is not. Workaround: reconfigure VLC to use another video output module and probably restart VLC.
