Rico, as we said in the original comment, that patch is no longer necessary.
The original issue that caused that to be necessary is now fixed (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1623597). Distribution engines are now loaded first, marked as builtin/app- provided. Worst case, removing that patch completely might cause a few errors on the console about an engine already being installed the first time a user upgrades from a version before 76. However that error should have no user impact. If you don't remove it now you should at least mark it for removing in a release or two as it isn't necessary. If you find it is still necessary, please let me know and we can take a look at it. ** Bug watch added: Mozilla Bugzilla #1623597 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1623597 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1885006 Title: Search Service broken on Ubuntu Nightly builds To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1885006/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
