Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (released) and 20.04 LTS (developer edition). This is
intermittent and does not happen every boot.
I installed ubuntu normally, but because I'm using nvme and ssd drives
converted all partitions to "F2FS" using the "fstransform" tool (except
of course /boot).
After doing this (and it only happens when using the F2FS file system),
there is a section during boot with messages about RAID6 ... (I have no
raids setup on my system).
Immediately after that section, I get a message about "Searching for
BTRFS .....", there are no btrFS partitions. It searches for approx
20-30 seconds, I then get a message "Array not found ....", and this
message is displayed about 20 times.
In 18.04, the boot process now stops and I'm put into initramfs system
prompt. In 20.04 the system does continue to boot, and correctly.
** Affects: boot (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
