Any news on this? Will there be framebuffer support when edgy goes final? I don't wanna work with old 80x25 consoles, i rather drop usplash than vesafb if i have to pick one, but it would be nice to have a splash screen, so windows-people that see my laptop don't get turned off by the textual bootup ;)
