Dell XPS m1330 laptop
HP 2335 connected to analog plug.
System installs and boots on the builtin monitor. Display settings
describes the monitor at this point as 'Generic' with the correct
resolution: 1280x800.
I add the second monitor and specify it's configuration. I follow the
instructions to log out and in. Something has trashed the settings for
the main monitor. It is now 'plug and play' with the wrong resolution. I
go back and forth indefinitely.
Even changing from 'left' to 'top' on the extra monitor and proceeding
to log out and in has the same effect of trashing the main monitor.
