Public bug reported:
$ uname -a
Linux wkbx 5.4.0-40-generic #44-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jun 23 00:01:04 UTC 2020 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
"5.4.0-40-generic" was installed this morning at 2020-07-02_06h14m19s
CET, leaving 5.4.0-39-generic pending for removal.
So...
$ sudo apt-get purge linux-headers-5.4.0-39 linux-
headers-5.4.0-39-generic linux-image-5.4.0-39-generic linux-
modules-5.4.0-39-generic linux-modules-extra-5.4.0-39-generic linux-
modules-nvidia-440-5.4.0-39-generic
Just minutes after(?), I got a request to reboot, to finish the update.
Really necessary for removing the unused kernel and its associated
packages?
** Affects: nvidia-prime (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
