I think it's the same situation than bug 1886214.
The message "trimming already in progress" is a red herring. The call to
zpool trim is protected by a || true and cannot make the postinst script
fail.
However, according to your logs bpool is not imported, and the postinst
script fails in this case. I'll mark your bug as duplicate.
