Public bug reported:

I had an old installation of 18.04 (probably updated from 16.04) where
the touchpad was working. As the install was quite old, I decided to do
a fresh install of 20.04. After that the touchpad stopped working.

I have attached the output of /proc/bus/input/devices. No touchpad shows
up in there.
