Hi Nicolas and thanks for your bug report. From the attached logs it
seems that mysql failed to start because its TCP port is in use:

[ERROR] [MY-010262] [Server] Can't start server: Bind on TCP/IP port: Address
already in use
[ERROR] [MY-010257] [Server] Do you already have another mysqld server running
on port: 3306 ?
[ERROR] [MY-010119] [Server] Aborting

This could happen for example if the daemon has been started manually. I
suggest you to try to kill all the mysql-related processes and then fix
the installation process with:

  apt -f install

As an alternative to manually terminating the stray process you could
just try to reboot the system and then fix the install. You can get
further help on this kind of issues on the Ubuntu community channels:

I'm setting the status of this bug to Incomplete for the moment. If you
still think this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem specific to
your system please comment back and change the report status back to
New; otherwise if you agree it's not a bug in Ubuntu please change the
bug status to Invalid. Thanks!
