I had the same problem, the touchpad was not even recognised. I changed the BIOS setting to "only UEFI" (no Legacy support) as suggested by gustavekkj. Now it works! Or at least most of the time: sometimes when booting it stops working again, but (up until now) a reboot fixes the problem.
