Public bug reported:
My monitor has 1280x1024 as common resolution. X uses 1280x1024 as
expected, also usplash chooses it, but consoles (Ctrl+Alt+F1,
Ctrl+Alt+F...) doesn't use proper resolution. Also seems that
framebuffer is not being used.
For example, openSUSE set properly resolution for consoles to 1280x1024
This is the options that opensuse is using:
title openSUSE 10.3
root (hd0,7)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz
root=/dev/disk/by-id/scsi-SATA_ST3200822A_4LJ1A992-part8 vga=0x31a
