Brian,
I checked the kernel source for Gutsy, and the fix seems to be in
place there. So this issue would appear to be limited to just Feisty. The
Changelogs for 20.6.20-16 don't seem to indicate that the this issue has been
addressed, so I am assuming that the issue is still outstanding under feisty.
On a side note, given that PATA/SATA raid5/6 is almost undoable
under Gutsy (limit of 2 ide interfaces, known bug, being addressed), I
would think this bug is a sleeper, waiting to hit a large number of
feisty server users who are unable to upgrade.
