Public bug reported:

On a Dell Optiplex-gx260 computer, after applying updates, installing
linux-image-4.15.0-112-generic, when restarting, the system doesn't
boot, and instead ends up in 'rescue mode' (whatever that is).

I'm reporting this on another Dell Optiplex machine (32-bit), because
although the machine having the problem booted on the older kernel
(4.15.0-109-generic), it would not stay alive long enough to report the
problem.

This machine (fortunately) is still using the 4.15.0-100-generic kernel,
so it stays alive long enough to report the problem.

I expected the machine to reboot after applying updates. Instead, it
ended-up in a text-screen, saying it is in 'rescue mode'.

I also attempted to do a fresh install of the latest Lubuntu 18.04 on a
different Dell Optiplex GX-260 machine, and it also ended up in a text
screen in 'rescue mode'.

So I gave up on Lubuntu, and successfully installed Debian 10.4.
