Public bug reported:

The installer crashed while creating partition for Ubuntu on a pre existing 
windows OS. The primary hard disk was partitioned into 3 parts and Ubuntu was 
being installed on a partition other than C drive. I tried to assign 125 GB to 
Ubuntu out of 200 GB free space on the partition.
The crash cited temperature issues while installing.
