I just installed a fresh Xubuntu 20.04 (Linux 5.4.0-42-generic) on my
brand new Samsung Galaxy Book Ion NT950XCJ-X716A. And of course I do
experience the issues described here: very low volume on headphones and
no sound on speakers.

In pavucontrol, under "Output devices", I see 3 HDMI outputs, and the
last one is "Speaker + Headphones". I would have expected to see
something like "Built-in Audio Analog Stereo", but it's not there. Under
"Configuration", I would also expect something related to built-in, but
the only profiles available are "Play HiFi quality Music" and "Off".

>From reading this thread it seems that a (partial?) fix is on the way.
Is there a way for me try that patch already ?

And is there anything else I can do to help fix the remaining issues ? I
am not sure what log are useful and how to get them ?
