After the rescue via live USB stick one can halt updating of the grub
packages till a proper fix is available. I've done it with "dselect"
(hotkey "H").

*== Opt admin    grub-pc      amd64      i386       2.02-2ubunt 2.02-2ubunt
*== Opt admin    grub-pc-bin  amd64      i386       2.02-2ubunt 2.02-2ubunt
*== Opt admin    grub2-common amd64      i386       2.02-2ubunt 2.02-2ubunt

or you can it on the commandline:

apt-mark hold grub2
apt-mark hold grub2-pc
apt-mark hold grub-efi-amd64-signed

and any other which are currently installed.
