Steps to reproduce:
1. Boot Ubuntu MATE 20.10 daily ISO
2. Launch marco-compton.desktop from /usr/share/applications while controlling
the log in ~/.xsession-errors
Expected results:
* application launched, log is empty
Actual results:
* application is not launched log contains line:
