The latter should be identical to your hda-verb command (0x707 is the
encoding for SET_PIN_WIDGET_CONTROL) except that Early Patching modifies
the hda configuration BEFORE initializing the codec. I'm curious if that
makes it stick (ie continue working after you change sound sources or
stop the music).
