It seems like something fails in the communication between Skanlite and lower layers, since the text "Waiting for the scan to start" shows the whole time the scanner is actually scanning. (As stated in the original post, once it's done scanning the "Invalid argument" error appears.)
I started skanlite with the command: SANE_DEBUG_ESCL=128 SANE_DEBUG_SANEI_USB=4 skanlite 2&> skanlite_debug.txt * Selected the device corresponding to the ESCL driver for my HP 3500 f1. * Checked that 600 dpi was selected as resolution and hit the scan button. * Waited for the scan to fail and then some. * Discarded the error message. * Clicked the close button in Skanlite. I tried to wait some time between each step so that they could be distinguished in the log. skanlite_debug.txt is attached. ** Attachment added: "Output of the command "SANE_DEBUG_ESCL=128 SANE_DEBUG_SANEI_USB=4 skanlite"" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/skanlite/+bug/1886670/+attachment/5401753/+files/skanlite_debug.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1886670 Title: Error when scanning with higher resolution then 300 DPI - Pixma TS6052 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/skanlite/+bug/1886670/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
