Problem confirmed on Linux Mint 20 Ulyana (Cinnamon) after upgrading from Mint 19.3 (Cinnamon). Same thing, missing icon, can click on it and see the Solaar menu.
Not sure if it's relevant but my panel is Vertical, along the left side.
