Hello Ian, I'm not a kernel developer but here is the thing:
**Each notebook configuration requires its own set of quirks.** Even within one device model manufacturers often change sound chips, components and their interconnections. Please file a **separate** bug to fix your problem. If you have some experience with Qemu - you can try reversing sound chip commands using comment #158 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1850439/comments/158) and comments #125 - #132 as a reference. But do it on your own risk. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1850439 Title: No sound on ASUS UX534FT To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1850439/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
