Thanks for your bugreport.
Could you please try to run (if you use gnome):
$ sudo update-manager -c -d
and see if there is a little button in the update-manager window that
says: "Upgrade to 6.10"? Then click on it and follow the instructions.
If something goes wrong, please attach the files in /var/log/dist-
upgrade/*
