I didn't receive confirmation about the mainline kernel to use. In the meantime I created a file called /etc/modprobe.d/iwl.conf and filled it with the following:
options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1 swcrypto=0 bt_coex_active=0 power_save=0 options iwlmvm power_scheme=1 options iwlwifi d0i3_disable=1 options iwlwifi uapsd_disable=1 options iwlwifi lar_disable=1 After rebooting, the freezes stopped. It is clearly an issue with some of the options of the driver. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1885266 Title: Intel Wireless-AC 9260 [8086:2526] Subsystem [8086:0014] iwlwifi causes random UI freezes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1885266/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
