First you need to be confirmed that you have all hardware requirements. then again If the problem occurs, then try booting from "Safe Graphics Mode" (2nd option in Live CD). I had faced the same problem before, I corrected it by booting from "Safe Graphics Mode" and I installed Ubuntu successfully.
