Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

the following message appears whenI try to run update manager. (A bright
orange squire symbol with a sun inside it is appearing the upper panel). when
the icon is clicked the following message appears
"E: the package sn9cxxx needs to be reinstalled, but i can not find an archive
for it"
Also my synaptic package manager is not working giving the same error message.
This happened after I tried to download & installed the referred package.
Neither can I remove it by apt-get remove command.
Please enlighten on this matter.
