I removed the TexMaths directory with: rm -rf ~/.config/libreoffice/4/user/TexMaths Then I made the directory that Libreoffice complained was missing and put the .oxt in there, that it said it was looking for. It did seem to install and restart Libreoffice, but it didn't work immediatedly. I went back to the Exthensions Manager and updated it, and now it works.
