Public bug reported: Users of Ubuntu Studio expect the latest version of certain packages. OBS Studio has a 6-month release cadence that closely matches Ubuntu. In fact, it's too close. Newer releases are always just after beta freeze and get updated in Debian Sid shortly thereafter.
As such, this FFe for OBS Studio will be a regular thing to ensure that users of Ubuntu and Ubuntu Studio have the latest version going forward. Users have been disappointed in the past when we have shipped a version older than the current version and what is available in Debian. Since Ubuntu Studio is the only flavor that seeds this package, this shouldn't affect any flavor beyond that.
