Public bug reported: Ubuntu 20.10 switched to use nftables by default and sshguard should be use nftables by default as well, dropping the Ubuntu delta. This also fixes LP: #1877615.
The package is built and tested in https://launchpad.net/~ci-train-ppa- service/+archive/ubuntu/4044/+packages . I've tested it on a local laptop and it indeed blocks the IPs with nftables: $ sudo nft list table ip sshguard table ip sshguard { set attackers { type ipv4_addr flags interval elements = { 10.0.17.1 } } chain blacklist { type filter hook input priority filter - 10; policy accept; ip saddr @attackers drop } } ** Affects: sshguard (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "sshguard_2.3.1-1ubuntu2_2.3.1-1ubuntu3.diff.gz" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1898296/+attachment/5416789/+files/sshguard_2.3.1-1ubuntu2_2.3.1-1ubuntu3.diff.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1898296 Title: FFe: Please accept sshguard 2.3.1-1ubuntu3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sshguard/+bug/1898296/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
