Public bug reported:
The first time I tried to install 20.04 I noticed that the option to
update as installed was disabled. However since the ubuntu coders do NOT
BELIEVE in separating code and data, I stopped the installation and made
a backup of /home/robert. (I never place data here but Ubuntu does.)
The second time I tried to install 20.04 I again noticed that the update
option was still disabled. I went the the Try 20.04 and noticed the
network indicator was missing. Unlike its predecessors (13.04-19.10)
20.04 was not able to recognize my WiFi hardware. Luckily I had WiFi
hardware from another computer with a mini-CD containing drivers.
The third time I tried to install 20.04 I did the Try first to make sure
the display resolution was correct and that the WiFi was working. Then I
got the error message: ubi-partman failed with exitcode 141. Further
information may be found in /var/log/syslog. Do you want to try running
this setup again before continuing? If you do not, your installation may
fail entirely or may be broken.
