Public bug reported: Binary package hint: initramfs-tools
When I try to create an initramfs image for a kernel that has custom root directory, the "update-initramfs" script fails to find out any modules. Upon looking at the script I see that it doesn't pass in the alternate ROOT information to the "mkinitramfs" script. ===================================== [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/target] ls */* boot/config-2.6.18 boot/System.map-2.6.18 boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18 lib/modules: 2.6.18 update-initramfs -c -b /root/target/boot -k 2.6.18 -v Failes to find "/lib/modules/..." ======================================= ** Affects: initramfs-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- update-initramfs doesn't pass in the ROOT info to mkinitramfs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/175301 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
