I had this issue as well, and this was the setting I changed to fix it: View -> Options -> Advanced -> Audio -> Audio Player: Change it to something else.
There is no guarantee whether this would work or not, though, considering this bug only happened on my Mint 19.1 (with no such bug beforehand.
